Joseph Stalin ruled the Soviet Union for 25 years after a long World War 1.Having the USSR being in poverty, Stalin created Stalinism where he became an unquestioned leader who sent millions to the Gulag Archipelago which was many islands filled with concentration camps. With supreme power and a leader of a superpower, Stalin not only changed the system in the USSR by taking away freedom of speech, assembly, and organization of the citizens, but he also left his legacy to strike fear into many countries and to influencing them to communism.
